Another winter means another Yolo County Supervisor Don Saylor’s Soup’s On.  This year brings a twist. Rather than requesting that you bring your favorite homemade soups to share at the event, Don Saylor is inviting you to contribute your family favorite soup recipes for a living community soup cookbook.

With your help, Don Saylor’s Soup’s On Cookbook will feature a collection of soup recipes that reflects the diversity of our community, gathered from a broad cross-section of our neighbors and representing a variety of culinary traditions. This living collection of our community’s recipes will also be distributed in print cookbooks at the event, to the kids of the Kid’s Farmer’s Market, and by the Food Bank of Yolo County.

The recipes should be uncomplicated, quick and easy to prepare, packed with nutrition, and put together at a manageable cost. Each recipe should include no more than 8 ingredients plus seasoning.
